I always thought of "lerre" to be : tramp, an unclean woman not afraid of (dirty) sex, preferably a rather mature woman (not young). Possibly comparable to 'oilsjterse voil zjanetten'(*)
Something like that
(*)cfr. "Aalst Carnaval" where guys dress up as women
